ColActive® PLUS Ag is an advanced antimicrobial collagen wound dressing that helps maintain a moist wound environment at the wound surface to aid in the formation of granulation tissue and epithelialization.
Indicated for full and partial thickness wounds, including:
- Pressure ulcers
- Diabetic ulcers
- Ulcers caused by mixed vascular aetiologies
- Venous ulcers
- Donor and graft sites
- Abrasions
- Traumatic wounds healing by secondary intention
- Dehisced surgical wounds
- First and second-degree burns
Contains:
ColActive® PLUS Ag Dressings contain collagen, EDTA, alginate, CMC, EDTA and silver.
Benefits:
- The EDTA in the dressing removes zinc to inhibit the activity of matrix metalloproteinases (MMP), thus creating a suitable environment for wound healing.
- The silver chloride in the dressing is an effective antimicrobial intended to prevent bacterial colonization of the dressing.
- The dressings may be trimmed and layered for the management of deep wounds. Dressing can absorb up to 20 times its weight in water.1
