CovaWound^® Alginate Ag

Soft, comfortable wound dressings composed of silver-impregnated calcium alginate fibers.

It is presented as a flat non-woven pad for application to open wounds, as well as a rope for packing of wound cavities.

For use with moderate to heavy exuding wounds, including superficial or deep wounds, such as:

• Pressure sores
• Arterial ulcers
• Venous leg ulcers
• Diabetic ulcers
• Post-operative wounds

Benefits:

• The silver-impregnated calcium alginate fibers, when in contact with wound exudate or blood, form a gel which creates a moist optimal wound healing environment.
• The silver ions within the dressing help to protect from a range of microorganisms.
